Love: A Simple Wish

I could love you more.

More than the sunsets
And all the sunrises,
In all the realms.
More than the Moon
Smiling down sweetly
On my Shadow self.

I could love you more.

More than dewdrops
On sleepy roses in the Springtime
And more than the rain
Dripping lazily down my cheeks.

I could love you more.

More than the mountains sighing
In the horizon
And the ocean waves dancing
Across the shoreline.

I could love you more.

More than Hero loved Leander
And could light your path to my heart
Each night, so you would never be lost.

I could love you more.

More than the stars glitter in the
Inky darkness
And the seas call my name,
Begging me to come home.

I could love you more.

If only you were here.
And not imprisoned in my dreams.
Cursed to live in my heart until
It breaks.
Cursed to live on in my tear-soaked
Words.
Page after page of prayers to the
Goddess.

I could love you more.

And one day I will.
This is a simple wish.
A perfect promise.
A pact between two lovers.

Because,

I could love you more.
