My soul couldn’t be
Caged by society’s closets.

I couldn’t be restrained
By the moral fetters on
My wrists.

Because my heart,
Though torn and delicate,
Knows no boundaries
Or no limits.

So I ask you,
Show me the true colours
Of your love.

Show me where truth and beauty
Shall together thrive,
And I will join you there.

Because I would gladly
Meet you in the
Midnight gleam
And swim in its
Inviting waters.

If it meant sharing
The moonlight
And all of my secrets
With someone who
Sets my soul on fire.

Someone like you.

Because I have a hunger
To leave this place.

This place where my bones
Are trapped in.

This place where I’ve walked
Blindly through the streets.

This place where compassion
Does not know my name.

I bid you,
Take me to an unknown
Paradise.
Take me high,
Higher into the sky.

Where our love is not painted
In black and white.

And we’re allowed to be
What we were destined to be.
