Color My Bones

I’m not afraid of the journey.
The fight or the struggle.

For you,
I would survive the desert dawn,
The heat and the fire.

Because you numbed my brain,
When the memories were too

And you kissed my scars
When I couldn’t look in mirror.

You helped me escape
My nightmare road,
That was terrifying and

I’ve loved the darkest
Parts of you.

And you colored my
Bones with your love.

Smiles and heartbreaks.
Destiny and fate.

I will love you in
My madness,
And all of my pain.

And though you are no
Longer mine,
I will still light a candle
For you every night,
And pray that you
Come back to me.

Because I still think of
Your smile,
When it rains outside.

I still think of you
And I don’t know if I’ll ever stop.

I've always had a passion for writing. In this crazy world that we live in, I find my solace in made up words and make believe stories. Let's escape into the void and forget about it all just for a moment or two.
