I’m thinking about you tonight,
And the last words we said to
Each other.

I thought things were different,
I felt it in my soul,
Deep down into my bones.

The way you said goodbye,
Rippled through my body
And I felt tears spring to my eyes.

And you said it with a smile,
And a warm embrace.

You said it love.

You told me that you’d talk
To me tomorrow,
And then you didn’t.

So I dream about you now,
Hoping you’ll come back to me.

Praying that you hear my love call for you.

And that I’ll see sunset in your eyes
Again.

But until then,
I’ll search for peace
In the arms of night
Because darkness is my friend,
And she understands my pain
Better than anyone else.
