I surrender to you.
For I am seeking salvation
From my dampened dreams
And recurring nightmares.
Because I’ve been cloaked
In echoes of the past,
Masked in misconceptions
And sleepless nights.
Left to be buried with undried
Tears,
And an undying heartbreak.
I want you to
Save my soul,
Because I want to see
Tomorrow.
I want to be lost
In this moment,
In crystalline cascades,
And diamonds in the sky.
I want to escape,
And float away
Into the Summer night
Like fireflies.
So I bid you,
Save me,
And take me away
From yesterday
And all that matters.
Because,
In the darkest parts
Of me,
I see your smile.
I see your light.
And I believe that
You will give me
What I am searching for.
You’ll give me Heaven,
With no path to Hell,
In sight.
