Nothing But Time

I found you
And lost you
In the same breath.

In the blink of an eye
You were gone and
I questioned my memory
If you were even real.

How could I miss a ghost?
A figment of my imagination.

So I went on a quest
To find you.

Look for you,
In every space
Between the constellations.
In every whisper
Of the breeze.

Because you are the
Art and the definition of

Beautiful in all its glory,
Haunting in all of its mysteries.

And I missed you.

My ghost.
My phantom.
My shadow.

But it was when
I had completely lost all hope
That I found your love

When I was alone
And afraid,
Weak and drowning.

I heard you call my name.

I listened to your
Voice lead me
To safety.

Lead me to you.

When I was so far down
In the depths of my own
Passed the boundaries
Of the black moon,
And the midnight sun,
You were there.

You saved me.
Held me.
And made me yours.

And what we have
Will last,
For it’s as real the blood
Coursing through my veins.

We’ll last,
You and I.
Even when the world ends
And the stars disappear.

Because we have nothing but
Our love to guide us
And we have nothing but time.

I've always had a passion for writing. In this crazy world that we live in, I find my solace in made up words and make believe stories. Let's escape into the void and forget about it all just for a moment or two.
