Love, Art and the Eternal Flame

You are a work of art;
Basquiat in your beauty.

Your love like bountiful,
And lovely as Shakespeare’s
Summer’s day.

You are my beloved,
A treasure not conquered,
But given to by the goddess,

You are the rubies and emeralds
That shine amongst the stars.
You are the light-shine from my
Glorious Lady.

You kiss me with the lips
Of the most gentle Angel,
And I give myself to you
Like a servant before
Your altar.

You are the Divine,
And I am your mate.
A counterpart,
Joined in our mutual
Destruction and inevitable

Born, wed, and crossed
The river Styx
For one another.
Brought back as
That young lovers sing to each

Because our love is immortal.
Lives on throughout the ages.
Written on palimpsest and
Inked in the blood of the Universe.

Our love,
Never fades.
Never perishes.
Never wanes.

Of Love,
Of Art,
And the Eternal Flame.

Our love,
Never dies.

I've always had a passion for writing. In this crazy world that we live in, I find my solace in made up words and make believe stories. Let's escape into the void and forget about it all just for a moment or two.
