December Moon Heartbreaks

The waning December moon begs
Me to let you go.

And my heart is breaking for it.

She tells me what my mind senses.
That you’re no good for me.
But my soul doesn’t feel that way,
Though.
It cries out for you and your slow
Touches and deep moans.

She knows me better than you do.
But like I’ve said so many times before,
My blood sings for you.
It yearns for you.
In all the different timelines,
In all of space and eternity,
There is only you.

And my heart is breaking for it.

She whispers in my ear at night,
You know.
My dearest Selene,
Goddess of the Moon.
She tells me what she sees,
What’s my future and my past.
She whispers of you.

Tears stream down my face
As she sings me a lullaby of pain
And sadness.
She knows my thoughts and desires.
She knows what I know.

And my heart is breaking for it.

I’ve written poems underneath her light.
Poems about you,
My one and only muse.
Poems about undying love,
Tragedy and agony.
Poems about a fairytale life with you
By my side.
Because you are the only thing that I
Want.

I’ve written sonnets underneath her
Loving gaze.
Sonnets about your honeyed words
And velvet tones.
I’ve written lines about your silvery
Kisses up and down my spine.

And my heart is breaking for it.

I pray to her shine every night.
I pray for clarity.
I pray for peace.
I pray for you.
Because I want you.
Because I love you.
Because.

The waning December moon begs me
To let you go.
Pleads with me to release you.
Implores me to cut the cords that bind
Us together.
But I can’t.

Because my heart will break without
You.

I need you.

I've always had a passion for writing. In this crazy world that we live in, I find my solace in made up words and make believe stories. Let's escape into the void and forget about it all just for a moment or two.
