I adorn myself in nothing but
Shadows & dreams.

And wait patiently
For your rose-scented bite.

Though, I’m only handed thorns
I still seek the taste of your
Forbidden garden.

The paradise I’ve long sought to find.

Once upon a time,
I only trusted myself.
And found myself drowning
In a sea of regret.

But then,
You saved me.

And later, lay me in a bed
Of dahlias and butterflies.

My pulse beat rapidly
Beneath your hand,
And I could feel my unforgiven sins
Made clean.
