I have tasted the devil
In your kiss,
And it folded me
In sweet surrender.

I savored it
And let myself be
Consumed by your
Infernal flames.

For I am at my
Heart’s tipping point.

Somewhere between
Delicate midnight roses
And cold rain.

Somewhere between
The tender trails of
Sunset and dawn.

I sink to your darkness
And am freed from
Whispered lies.

For I know that to be loved,
Is to be lived in you.

Because my salvation
Is on your lips.

Liberation by the salty
Tears on your tongue.

And it tastes like forever
Wouldn’t be enough.
