What’s Done in the Dark

Tell me…
Tell me your story,
And I’ll tell you mine.

I’ll hold your hand,
And scream with you.

I’ll piece your heart
Back together,
Like you did mine.

Show me…
Show me the vulnerable
Parts of you.
And I’ll tear open my soul
And unmask all my secrets
So you know that
You’re never alone.

It’s always twilight
In the past,
And the road to peace
Can be suffocating
And scary.

For what’s done in the
Always comes to light,
And I’ll be right here,
When it does.

We have endured
Broken memories and
Broken promises.

Felt unsafe in safe places.
And been unable to sleep,
For fear of the shadows.

But my pain
Mirrors yours.

My ache is your own.

So come to me,
And let the trauma bleed

Cry and let me wipe
Your tears.

Because tomorrow
The sun will rise
On these wilted corpses
Of ours,
But our love is forever night,
And there are no monsters

I've always had a passion for writing. In this crazy world that we live in, I find my solace in made up words and make believe stories. Let's escape into the void and forget about it all just for a moment or two.
