Persephone’s Lullaby

Damn this
Sensitive spring
And the memories
That have brought
Me to my knees.

Made me worship
At the feet of moments come
And moments gone.

Memories that have planted
The seeds of seduction
In my mind
And the desire that still
Lingers,
Has watered them.

On the strength of this alone,
Rustic roots have grown
Strong like Ivy,
Swallowing up my words
And capturing my thoughts.

For in the garden
That basks in your moonlight,
My love for you blooms
And thrives there.

I catch the scent
Of you,
In this place of creation,
And I am transformed.

Made new.

Flooded with images of
You,
Your lips,
Your smile,
Your voice.

And upon the tapestry of tulips
That have grown in your
Absence,
I have built my glass coffin.

So that when you find me,
In the dark, green forest
You’ll kiss your beloved Persephone,
And bring me back to life.

And I’ll walk with you,
In the hush of night
Down to paradise.

I've always had a passion for writing. In this crazy world that we live in, I find my solace in made up words and make believe stories. Let's escape into the void and forget about it all just for a moment or two.
