It’s kismet
Or just perfect timing,
Or maybe the Universe
Listening
But,
Locking eyes with you across
That crowded room,
We welcomed the light
Into our darkest shadows
And set the future into motion.
That night,
We wrote the beginning of
Our happy ending.
So when the bell rings,
And we bid the past
A February farewell,
I’ll take your words,
Your sadness,
Your pain,
And bury them all
In the graveyard of forgiveness
That is my tethered heart.
I’ll take it all,
Just to see you smile,
Again.
You deserve to be loved.
You deserve to lie under
The stars and be free.
Because you have introduced
Me to a world unseen;
A world of magick and moonlight.
And I’ll stand here with you,
Until eternity places
It’s watchful eye on us.
