Tonight, I paint the sky
With pearls & stars
And whispers in white.

Under the glimmering light of a
Waxing moon,
I look for your love.

Because I have spent too long
Swimming in murky waters.

Fighting those treacherous currents
Begging to take me under.

A weeping widow, of sorts,
Living in the shadows of
Yesterday.

But tonight, when the moon is high
I’ll traverse the perilous road of night,
Hunting for your kiss.

For who am I,
But a lonely soul,
Touched by the gleam of twilight.

Wandering this watery valley
Longing to see your face again.
