I lie here in front you, dazed
In a wine-soaked delirium.

Your deft fingers,
Plucking harmonious blues,
That reverberate through my soul.

The melody rises,
Increasing the energy
In this room.

Waves of desire
Crawl like fire through my skin,
Antagonize my shyness.
And bully it into submission.

It makes me want to break
Down my walls to kiss you;
To devour you.

Oh, how I’ve turned
Into a lust-driven beast,
Hungry for the feel of your body
On mine.

Your song has bedeviled me,
Taken my weathered ways,
That have been frayed by the wind
And made them new.

It’s blazing a trail from
Cold, winter mornings,
To the steamy Summer nights
I crave.

Seize me
With your precious notes,
My love.

Make me live again.
