Waiting for a sign,
Staring off into an
Endless abyss of cornfields and crows.

Searching,
Seeking,
Looking for you.

My body is grounded in reality
By the roots of my marigold memories.

But my mind is in the stars,
Chasing them for a glimpse
Of you.

What may find me
If I hunt too far,
Too deep?

What my come,
If I let down my guard
And succumb to my daylily daydreams?

Hopefully your love,
An undying devotion.

Hopefully your soul
Will join with mine.
