In my dreams,
And somewhere in the haze,
You speak to me.

Narrating my dark desires,
And other exquisite things
As the voice of my soul.

I wake,
Breathing hard,
On the wrong side of midnight,
Still feeling your heavenly touch
Like a ghost upon my skin.

Where is my lover now?
For I need you to
Recite your poetry to me again.

I need you to lay
My soul to rest.
