Read this when you’re sad,
So you know you’re never
Alone.

And I pray,
It may be a remedy,
A salve to ease a broken
Heart.

I hope you put your mind
At ease,
And feel the warmth of
Golden moon again.

And believe in your heart,
That love exists,
And it’s only
A drop in the ocean
Of what’s in store.

I, too,
Have suffered.
Moored myself in
Anger and doubt.

Drowned my soul
In tears,
Longing for answers
To questions,
I didn’t have yet.

But there is hope
After dark.

It’s vast,
And wide
And beautiful.

It’s not swallowed by time,
But instead, flourishes there.

It grows wildly,
In rolling fields of poppies
And colorful dreams.

This is the place
Where you belong,
Amongst the harvest
And the sunshine.

In the arms comforting Demeter,
Herself.

Where fear and heartbreak
Languish,
And love survives and thrives.

You belong
You deserve
You’re worthy.

So come home,
And read this when you’re sad.
