You lost me,
Somewhere between the
The bitter sting of today
And the dawn of what lies ahead.

You let our love be corrupted;
Damaged irreparably.

Because you did not see
What I saw.

Love, in all of its forms.
Following you through your
Toughest hours.

Guiding you, when I’m not there.

You couldn’t feel my love for you,
And I made excuses for it,
Every single day.

Maybe perhaps
You were too insouciant,
And I wasn’t patient enough.

But, I tried so hard
To show you.

Show you what my definition
Of what love truly is.

I fear,
You were just too blind to see me.

And maybe you will,
One day.

But I will be gone.

Because I found me,
Between the pages
Of a future not written yet,
And yesterday is jealous.
