A Night to Remember

Summer is calling,
And I long to hear her

Because she speaks
To me of better times,
And of a lost moment
With you.

An ocean breeze,
The fiery crackle
Of a bonfire,
And making wishes on
Shooting stars,
Are what stays with me
When I close my eyes
And reminiscence about that

A night to remember,
Underneath the
Colorful blanket of midnight.

A night to remember,
When two lost souls
Became one
And nothing else mattered,
But them.

Summer is calling,
And I yearn to feel
Her warmth.

Because it serves as a
Visceral reminder of you,
And how your poetry
Felt like sunshine.

Summer is calling,
And I dream to see
Her face,
Because her dandelion eyes
And her soft wicked smile,
Bring me back to that
Moment with you.

I've always had a passion for writing. In this crazy world that we live in, I find my solace in made up words and make believe stories. Let's escape into the void and forget about it all just for a moment or two.
