Safe Place

Don’t stay gone too long,
My love.
Because I’m bad at letting
Go.

I know your heart hurts
From all the thorny roses
You’ve been given
And all the tears
You’ve shed.

But I could be the shoulder
You need,
To help you bear the load.

I could be
Your safe place
When your bones are weary,
And you need rest.

Or I could walk with you
Down the lonely
Road,
In the blackest part of night.

And be a calming
Void for you,
That you could disappear into.

So, don’t stay gone too long,
My love.
Because I don’t want you to
Go at this alone.

I’ll be right here,
Under the moonlight,
Waiting.

Waiting for you to come
Back home.

I've always had a passion for writing. In this crazy world that we live in, I find my solace in made up words and make believe stories. Let's escape into the void and forget about it all just for a moment or two.
