Fear of Falling

Afraid to be back where I started.
I may be out of my mind.
But I want to fly with you.
I don’t have a fear of falling.

You take my hand, and we run.
I follow your lead.
Breathless.
Exhilaration coursing through my veins.
I want to make the leap with you.
I don’t have a fear of falling.

The edge gets closer and closer.
I start to second guess this.
My body trembles.
You turn to me, with those eyes,
You see right into my soul.
I want to disappear with you.
I don’t have a fear of falling.

It’s you.
It’s me.
And I know that you’re
the only thing that I want.
So over the edge, we go.
And we disappear
into the unknown.
Falling together.
