A sinner and a saint
And true love made eternal.

A poet’s muse and an artist’s
Divine intervention.

You are the very light
That pierces through my veil.

The jolt of a heart
That had long stopped beating
A millennia ago.

For I have tasted Betrayal’s kiss
And it was bitter and dark
And wicked.

But your lips taste like
A forgotten recipe,
Made with love from
A time before.

And your eyes,
How they see me wholly
And gleam with unnatural beauty.

They shine like the stars in Hera’s hair.
Like the skies and the Heavens above.

I am the Sinner
Who cries into the night,
And you are the Saint
That saves me.
