We are engaged in a torrid love affair,
The Winter & I.
Earthly delights
And otherworldly kisses.
Cold touches on warm skin,
Like a tilted paradise.
When Winter leaves,
I lie here in our bed,
Remembering moments
That have too long passed.
Spinning spin, in my mind,
Of Stygian threads
To keep them there.
I dream of Winter.
Lullabies of silk
And lavish wonders.
Fantasies, like the sharpest teeth,
Piercing more than just skin.
It is a delicious agony,
That I would endure
Just to feel it’s closeness
One more time.
Winter desires me
And hates me.
But loves me over and over
And over, again.
And I will find my place
Back in Winter’s icy embrace.
Fanning the flames of this love,
When the stars align
Against a backdrop of night.
I will find myself in its glacial grasp,
And give up my dreams and soul…
Willingly.
