Oh, sweet deliverance
Is your name.

And how it tastes like heaven
On my tongue.
Feels like poetry in my bones.

Your midnight eyes
Carry me from my
Infinite dark.

For you are the kiss of light
That consumes my very being.

You are both a bedtime story
And a dream filled with all the
Dirty things that float through my mind.

The maestro of my
Wildest fantasies;
Conducting them like
An ancient song.

Beautiful and brooding
Like blazing kisses & orchids.

Sticky & sweet like nectar
From the gods.

You are my savior
When the storm ends.

The euphoria I feel
Upon release my ivy prison.

And for this,
I’ll make my sacred sacrifice.
I’ll give you all that’s left
Of my cold, marble heart.

To bask in the afterglow of yours.
