She is a mystery,
Of torn love letters
And lace.

Of shadows that creep
And wants that grow stronger.

She is deeper than the truth
And everything he’s fantasized about.

He yearns to feel her
Running back into his arms.
To be his changing season.
To be the heartbeats that
He’s lost.

For the shadows of his past
Made it to the end without him,
Because he still longs for her.

And the worst part is,
He’d do it all over again,
Just for a taste of the poison
She fed him.

Just for a taste of her.
