Your love
Is like the sweetest ecstasy
Illuminating my night,
And stealing my soul.

It is both dangerous and comforting,
Like weathered storms
In the summer.

To fall hard for you is easy.

Because you know the
Hidden parts of me
That not even the moonlight
Can see.

The parts filled with
Wanderlust and
Dreams of tomorrows
That haven’t happened yet.

For I have felt the bondage
Of pain,
Lived in the bleak, harrowing
Dark.
And stayed like that for a long time,
In total blackness,
Until you.

You who saved me from disaster.

Catching me
When the safety net broke,
When I fell into the void,
Taking all moorings with it.

Your love
Is the sweetest poison,
Of which I would drink
Down every drop.

Because this is US.
This is our story.
And no one can
Pen a better ending
Than we.
