My simple heart
Aches for you,
With a longing
I don’t quite understand.

It’s the silence
Between unspoken words,
And the breaths you take
When you do.

I am caught up in
A whirlwind of woes,
And I just want to set my
Feet on solid ground.

So I’ll sit here and dream,
Grasping at the gossamer strands
Of remembrance
That are slipping through my
Fingers.

Wishing and hoping,
That I’ll see your face,
And we’ll hear the
Symphonies of souls entwine
In the moonlight again.

And we’ll brave the storm together,
Until dawn and ever after.

Because I don’t want to live
In a reality
Where your love is gone from me.

And I have to face the aftermath
Of the world ending,
Without you.
