I’m not naïve,
Like I once was.

And it’s taken patience
And divine violence
To find my peace,
In the mud.

So when I need you,
You’ll know.

You’ll see that I am
Transformed.

Rooted in the horizon of tomorrow.
Because the past no longer
Haunts me.

And I’m not afraid
Of my sins anymore.
