I’ve often wondered
Where your mind goes,
In the quiet times
We share.

You have so much pain
Behind your eyes,
And sometimes
Your voice trembles when
You speak of the past.

You stand in the crossroads,
Between dreams and nightmares,
Looking for a silent sign
That everything will be ok.

But you can trust me, my love.
You can trust me to help you.

Help you find your way.

You can trust me,
And tell me all the
Things that break your
Heart.

Because I know you
Will never break mine.

For, even when you’re
Not here,
I still feel you all around me.

Your voice,
Your words,
Your poetry.

Like a melody
That keeps replaying
In my mind,
I only hear you.

And I only ever will.
