Tonight,
On the quietest of nights,
I light my candles
And wish my Christmas wish.
For decency,
When hearts are broken
And gentleness when
Tears are shed.
That peace will
Be the light that brightens
Your way,
And that love always finds you.
And that when you lay
Your head down to sleep
Tonight,
And rest your weary bones,
Tomorrow will bring you
Smiles and joys and happiness,
Where yesterday there was none.
Loved ones have come and gone,
And your soul may still ache
From their loss,
But tomorrow, the light will
Shine,
And I know that you will be alright.
I wish your pain
Won’t hurt as bad,
And their memory won’t
Sting as much.
My heart aches for you,
Because you don’t
Know how much you’re loved.
I want to hold you close and
Tell you,
That the sadness in your
Soul is beautiful,
And you don’t have to hide
It from me anymore.
Because you are not alone,
And as long as we’re together,
You never will be.
