The distance in your eyes
Compounded with
The fault in the stars,
Your pain paints
For face and
Pours from
Your lips.
You tell me all the things
That’s made you this way.
The tragedies,
The tears,
The hurt that’s shaped
Your being.
You open me up
And pen your worst
Fears on my skin,
Use me like I’m your diary,
To ease the ache.
You lose yourself
In my soul and
Forget how much
You endured.
Because I can take it.
I can take your misery
And fill your emptiness
With what you need.
With what you crave.
You question if
You’ve said too much,
Bleeding all over my pages
Opening your wounds to me.
But I hold you close
So you can hear my
Heart and how it beats
For you.
It calms you and brings
You peace to know that I would
Burn with you
And feel this weightless freedom
Of what it is to be loved.
We could be sinners or serpents,
Doomed and unforgiven,
But we will be together
In this life or the ones that
Follow.
Because we are but
Twin souls colliding into each
Other,
And I call it stardust.
Loving you till eternity comes,
And I call it fate.
