I haven’t been around,
I know.
I haven’t forgotten about you.

I haven’t been around,
I know.
It’s not because I’m working.

I haven’t been around,
I know.
It’s not about you, my love.

I haven’t been around,
I know.
I’m not going to make excuses.

I haven’t been around,
I know.
Because the me in us
Is toxic.
