Your touch,
Is like Supernal virtue,
Blessed by the gods.
And I purred under it,
In the rosarium.
I lay my head on your lap
Counting comets,
Watching their trails paint
The night sky.
I think of us,
While they danced
In the gloom.
I think of windswept wishes
And fantasies made real.
I think of how I ran from love,
Out of the fear
That I’d be broken again.
And then you kissed me
And whispered in my ear,
That this was but a sample
Of what Heaven feels like.
My pulse quickened
And my arousal along with it.
And I knew then,
What I know now.
That if I gave into you
In this moment,
We were not just midnight strangers
Falling in love in the darkest hour.
We were souls merging into one.
And I’d be doomed
To live a life with you
Full of passion and danger.
And that I’d be gleefully damned
To do it.
