I have discovered starlight
In your touch.

And the mysteries of love
And poetry and other lost arts
Were unlocked between each breath.

As the burning red sun
Went down in the horizon,
The warmth of night,
Overtook my body,
And then you were there,
Covered in apricity
And dripping in fantasy.

For you have pulled
The veil over my lifeless heart,
Shielded it from hurt and danger.

You have connected
Our wishes and
Our dreams
And have become the anchor,
Who keeps my feet on
Solid ground.

Who steadies my soul again,
For the long kiss goodnight.
