In lust and sorrow,
Colored in the
Orange shades of October.

Spine-tingling,
Like featherless angels
Taking flight
Deep within my bones.

Flowery words
Married with devilish designs,
Are the knife’s edge
Your poetry gashes me with.

Leaving me gasping
Writhing,
Begging for more.

How your whispers fall
Like restless spirits
Through my mind
Straight down to my core,
In a delicate dance,
Of submission and power.

And I give in…every time.
