The clouds are gray
It’s raining again.
And the sound it makes
Against my window,
Brings back memories.

Some good,
Some bad.

Some I’ve tried to
Leave behind.

It makes my heart hurt
And my brain ache.

Makes me tired.

I want to see the sun again.
Have its rays warm my face.
Give me a dose of what I
Dream happiness feels like.

I want to walk in the light.
Feel the green grass under
My toes.

I want…

But, the clouds are gray
And it’s raining again.
