You’ve trapped me.
Tamed me.
Held me against my will.

Was this a part of the plan?

To make fall for my
Captor?

Show me what it means
Be to adored by someone?

To be appreciated,
To be known,
And seen.

You picked up my broken pieces
And glued them back together.

Shined your light on my pain,
Made me see how beautiful
My scars really are.

You’ve held me hostage,
And I know
Nothing can hurt me here.

I have no means of escape,
Nor will I even try.

Because you have the key
To my heart,
And I am imprisoned,
Caged by the simplicity of
Your love.
