Dreaming of Tomorrow

The snow melts
And my heart right
Along with it.

It’s quiet now
In the December
Morning,
With nothing but
My thoughts to
Keep me company.

I stare out of the
Window,
And remember the
Sound of your laugh
In my ear.

The way your eyes
Shined when you
Smiled,
And the way you held
My gaze.

The breeze
Wafts through the
Window,
And I swear I could
Smell your cologne.

My heart skipped a
Beat,
And my blood began
To sing,
Thinking you were
There,
But breaks again,
Into a million pieces.
Because it was just a
Memory.

I wish I could touch your
Body,
And feel your
Hands all over mine.

I wish I could do more
Than dream.

Dream of your kiss,
And how it tasted on
My tongue.

But instead,
I’ll dream of tomorrow,
Because hope and wonder
Lie there.

I’ll dream of tomorrow
Because that’s where
I’ll see you smile again.

I've always had a passion for writing. In this crazy world that we live in, I find my solace in made up words and make believe stories. Let's escape into the void and forget about it all just for a moment or two.
