December’s Last Embrace

Cold, in the way that
Only your touch can
Warm my face.
Only your kiss can
Bring me pleasure.

Before you,
I’d spent so much time
Running from the winter wolves
That hounded my memories.

I ran from the past
And found asylum in the
Silver shadows,
Dreaming of tomorrow.

I dreamt of a place
Where time has no name.
A place where inhaling
And exhaling pain
Was my path to freedom.

I dreamt of you
And dancing in the snow
Wrapped around each other in
December’s last embrace.
And how our frozen romance
Escapes the sting of the morning sun.

So tonight,
In the arms of a burning moonlight,
I give my soul to you.
I give all that I have and more.
In the hopes that our love,
Will last throughout the ages.
Will last for one more midnight.

I've always had a passion for writing. In this crazy world that we live in, I find my solace in made up words and make believe stories. Let's escape into the void and forget about it all just for a moment or two.
