Become My Poetry

Beneath a Blushing Moon
I sit and wait for you.

Shedding tears of black ink and
Nursing a broken heart,
I write about what we used to be.

The late-night phone calls
And the soft, sweet words
You said to me before dawn.

The way you caressed my
Cheek and sent shivers down my
Spine,
Still make me dizzy and weak.

We swore we were no good for each
Other,
Opposites in every way.
We were water against water.
Flame against flame.
And yet, I still wait for you.

I wait for you to come,
And whisk me away,
Take me to all the places
We made love.

Stay in each other’s arms,
With sex and love in the air,
Where wonder awaits us
At every turn.

Kissing hidden places
And committing our favorite
Sins,
Without the worry of it coming to
An end.

I need you more than you believe.
Because your love is haunting.
Your words are captivating.
You are my destiny.

So come back to me,
Give me the inspiration to lift my pen,
Then hold me close in the dying light
And become my poetry.

I've always had a passion for writing. In this crazy world that we live in, I find my solace in made up words and make believe stories. Let's escape into the void and forget about it all just for a moment or two.
