Savage are the shadows
That keep your love from me.

For without you,
My body is a cage
That holds me prisoner,
Engulfing me with memories
I’ve prayed not to repeat.

Savage are the ties
That bind my soul to you.

For I offer it up
In a peaceful surrender,
Of moon magick and sacrifice.

Savage are the quiet exhales
Of a scarlet sky,
That strips me down
And leaves me yearning for you.

For you are my escape.
Tranquility in a kiss.

Submission in a touch,
Because it’s always been you.
