Happy Friday, my loves. 💜🖤💜 How was your week? I hope your weekend is filled with lots of joy and beautiful things.
Before I go, I wanted to share my choice for the poem of the week. Next up in the Lang Leav series is an absolutely heartbreaking piece about unrequited love. It is one of my favorite poems of Lang’s.
If you have not read her work yet, please do! I hope you love it as much as I do. And let me know your thoughts; I’m excited to hear them.
“I know that I don’t own you,
and perhaps I never will,
so my anger when you’re with her,
I have no right to feel.
I know that you don’t owe me,
and I shouldn’t ask for more;
I shouldn’t feel so let down,
all the times when you don’t call.
What I feel— I shouldn’t show you,
so when you’re around, I won’t;
I know I’ve no right to feel it-but it
doesn’t mean I don’t.”
~Lang Leav
Have a great weekend, and never let them take your shine because you shine so damn bright. Take care 💜✌🏽
Love Always,
KVP
