I’ve searched an eternity
For a place where I can
Be myself.
Where my fear doesn’t
Overpower my voice,
And my eclipsed heart
Can be set free.

For too long,
I’ve hidden my face from
The world,
For too long,
I’ve hidden my face from
Myself.

Torn myself to pieces,
Looking for somewhere to
Call home.
Looking for somewhere
I didn’t have to be afraid.

And then I found you.

A kindred flame,
A piece of my soul.
I was drawn to your
Eyes and felt your hurt
Radiate through them.

You were broken down and
Weak,
Battling the brittle bridges that you
Perilously walked on
To make the world happy.

But I coaxed you
Off the edge,
And wiped away your tears,
With a sliver of my broken
Heart.

You welcomed me
Into your dreams,
With luminescent love
And a fiery embrace.
And I fed your soul and
Uncovered the buried mysteries
Of you.

We held one another
As the day turned to night,
And made dangerous love
As the sky drowned us
In its ink.

Through the horror and the
Pain,
We found our path to
Redemption
In each other’s arms.
Alive with love,
On the night of a Blood Moon.
