Don’t fall in love
With me.

Because I will
Dance in the
Moonlight,
And weave words
Around you like
A song.

Don’t fall in love
With me.

Because I will give
You the remnants
Of my soul
And the pieces
Therein.

Don’t fall in love
With me.

Because I will tiptoe
To the edge of doom
To see your smile
Again
And scoff at the impending
Storm to feel your arms
Around me.

Don’t fall in love
With me.

Because I will make
Your sky darker
And the stars even
Brighter,
In the hopes that
They will one day be
Our home.

Don’t fall in love
With me, if you don’t want
To be loved until
Eternity takes us under.
