The Redeemer and the Dreamer

A crimson kiss and
One last embrace
At Midnight,
Before my dream fades
Away.

You leave me with
A wish pressed to
My lips for another
Embrace,
Another touch
Another moment with you.

I found myself lost
Between here and never
Falling from the stars
Hoping to be found.
But then I remembered
You,
My Redeemer.

I remembered how your voice
Led me out of my darkness
Healed the first scars of love
And shame burned into my heart.
You waved away the obsidian clouds
And brought me back
To life.

Your memory saved me
When I couldn’t go on.
Caught me when I fell
And didn’t let my feet
Touch the ground.

You left me
With a wish.
One the wind carries
To the stars
For you.

So I’ll wait for you.
Wait for you
And long for you to kiss my lips
Again.

And I pray,
You remember me.

I've always had a passion for writing. In this crazy world that we live in, I find my solace in made up words and make believe stories. Let's escape into the void and forget about it all just for a moment or two.
