You bring me to
The darkest ecstasy,
Setting my body
Ablaze with desire and flame.
The bliss we chase,
Hand in hand,
Through the cursed forest
And into the night air,
Doesn’t elude us
Or stay hidden from us
For long.
Because we’ve been here,
Together, underneath
The crescent moon,
Many times before.
You’ve uncovered something
In me.
Something I was not yet
Prepared for.
Something I didn’t know
I craved.
You, my demon, or my savior
Have given me a taste of
Mercy.
Though perhaps it could
Be the absolution of a
Caged heart and mind.
Or the release of a broken spirit
And body.
Whatever it may be,
With you,
I’ve found my freedom.
So, cover me with
Roses and flame
And send me high into the sky.
Before you steal my soul again
And make me yours forever.
