Happy Sunday, my loves 💜🖤💜 Here we are at the beginning of December, and I still can’t get over how fast this year went.
For the quote of the week, I chose this one because this is another one I tell myself all the time.
“Don’t take criticism from people you would never go to for advice.”
Damn…
We’ve talked about this before. People pleasing.
And how sometimes we seek validation from people who don’t value us the way we do them.
It’s heartbreaking and disappointing.
But it can be an eye-opening experience.
A canon moment.
This works personally and professionally.
Take work, for instance; you know how to do your job. And do it well. You’ve had years of experience doing it. You could probably do it in your sleep.
So why on Earth would you let someone else, who’s not as knowledgeable as you, affect how you do it?
Constructive criticism is one thing. We learn and grow from that. But being critical just to be critical is just another way to tear you down.
That same logic goes for our personal lives, too.
The holidays are a prime example.
We’re all together with family, and sometimes, it’s our family members who are our biggest critics.
From how we live our lives to the partners we share our love with. Even though they themselves have issues.
Why would you allow their hurtful words to break your heart?
Never forget how special you are. How amazing you are.
And above all, never forget that:
You are ENOUGH
You are ENOUGH
You are ENOUGH
Have a beautiful week, and never let them take your shine because you shine so damn bright. Take care 💜✌🏽
Love Always,
KVP
