Happy Sunday, my loves 💜🖤💜
I hope you’re having a great first weekend of September. So far, I’ve been enjoying some time for myself (which is rare).

For the quote of the week, I chose this one because it’s another lesson I must keep learning.

“Your energy is precious; don’t waste it on people who don’t deserve it.”

Damn.

As someone who “overshares” and is a recovering people pleaser, this is sometimes difficult to do.

I want everyone to be happy, so I do my best to make it happen.

Sometimes to my own detriment.

I’ll go above and beyond for people who would never do the same for me.

I’ll do too much for someone who’ll do so little or nothing at all, sometimes.

And it hurts.

Ultimately, it’s my choice; I know just like it’s theirs.

And that’s where the lesson comes in.

I want reciprocated energy from people who don’t want the same thing.

So, what do you do now?

You remember who you are. And precious your energy is.

You remember that not everyone deserves to have access to your heart, your mind, or your soul.

Call back that energy, and you’ll see how differently you’ll look at things.

How easily you can detach from those situations.

And you’ll feel better for it.

And if they can’t see YOU for who you are, what do I always say? They can kick rocks.

And always remember:
