Dangerous Ones: A Halloween Lullaby, Part 2

Where’s my mind?
My heart?
My soul?

They lie with you,
And the perilous path
We seek.

You are the other half of my sanity,
The one that keeps me from
Drifting too high into the night.

But for those that do not understand,
Our love is dangerous,
And so are we.

We are the dangerous
Ones,
The nightmares in pretty heads
The whispers in the backs of
Their minds.
The ones who cannot be
Controlled by the power of
Their fear.

So come to me,
Bury your love,
In the depths of my shadows
And save me from a life lived
Without you.

Be a silhouette of a silent sonnet
And the manifestation of my
Dreams.
Be mine until forever comes
And let us see eternity for
Ourselves.

I've always had a passion for writing. In this crazy world that we live in, I find my solace in made up words and make believe stories. Let's escape into the void and forget about it all just for a moment or two.
